GW2 is quite a bit different from traditional "endless level/gear climb" from other MMOs. Once you level to 80 and get the best in service gear, you're almost set for life (well, balance patches may shake the meta up, but it isn't hard to adapt yourself).
Look at guides and get gear and builds for it and learn how to play by doing. Collections, adventures, open up your elite specs by getting masteries in the expansion areas, jumping puzzles, achivements or what ever float your boat or a bit of everything. It is all up to you to decide.
I just hit level 80 in-game, i'm not through the core story yet but i'm working on that, after core i'm planning on doing other story content as chronologically as possible. How does one acquire ascended gear? I grabbed a full set of exotic from the TP for cheap (mix of berserker stats and vit for survivability) so that should be good enough for now, but i'd like to upgrade at some point. Didn
Leveling right now is so painful. I honestly got super excited to play the machinist new job that came out with this expansion and I came back and made a character and wanted to level it to like EXPERIENCE the game. Now I learned it's at level 80.
Yes, after leveling with ToK and ofc the 80-boost, crafting is still the less time consuming way of leveling. You are gonna need to level ~3 professions tho, since they give you roughly 7 levels each IF I'm not mistaken If he's missing 1 proffesion at 500 he'd like to get there anyway, it's doable with 2.
Home. Game Discussion. Guild Wars 2 Discussion. Level 80 Ravens. So I've been noticing these Ravens wherever I go. No matter the level of the map the raven is always level 80. It's not a juvenile or pet its an npc that i can't interact with. It stays around for a bit and disappears. What is the purpose of this raven.
Posted June 6, 2018. Have a level 80 Mesmer. Kind of trying to diversify armor types. Have always in the past rolled dps style warriors. Dual wielding seeker types. So I’ll probably use 1 for warrior. For the second boost I’m torn between Necro, Rev, ranger and engineer. I’ll always do a bit of everything.

The new Adventure Guide achievements give out an absurd amount of XP. Before that, 30 hours was about the average, I'd say. Now, map completion in the starter zone will get you into the level 25-30 range within 90 minutes of character creation if you want to. Also, killing mobs is the least efficient way to gather XP in this game.
One good thing to do first, if you haven't already, is get a full set of level 80 exotic equipment. You can buy it from the trading post with gold, from the temples in Orr with karma, from WvW merchants with badges of honour, or from the dungeon merchant with dungeon tokens. Or you can mix and match pieces from different sources if you don't
Players Helping Players. LVL 80 Now what. Hi all, I started playing this game a couple months after it first came out. I am not in a Guild but I have 3 LVL 80 characters after playing on and off over the years. My question is I want to keep playing but am not familiar with the high level content. In Guild Wars 2 your character doesn't get [substantially] better the more hours you play, you do. ^ Being in BiS gear means close to nothing if you don't know how to play the game because of the active-combat system. Just discover the game. There is absolutely no reason to rush to 80lv. 5. Kraven_the_one. • 2 yr. ago. The most fun way of leveling in GW2 is not leveling. Just stop chasing the next heart, event, etc. Look at the world instead of minimap. Go where you please and have fun exploring the world and various systems. Try new weapons, skills and

Now I've just reached Level 80 and am halfway through my level 80 Personal Story. But now I've hit a roadblock. So I've been playing on the main Tyria map and my experience bar has gotten full. As far as I can work out, I can now transfer this bar to Mastery Points. HOWEVER I can't start training Masteries unless I play one of the expansions.
Then you need 30 level 20 minimum characters, 15 level 30s, 10 level 50's, 6 level 60's and 3 level 80's (although only 2 need to do the last few steps and only 1 needs to do Victory or Death). I was responding to the OP, who specifically pointed out they had no interest in redoing the story.
Is there all there is to this game. The very first thing you should do is get your character with full exotic gear and pick attributes that are focused on one thing; either go condition for condition damage (and use Vitality for increasing your HP) or go Power (here Vitality is also helpful as a fourth attribute).
Cooking costs at maximum 3gold with a 50 silver return to get it from 0-400. Which even beginners should have. Jeweler would be ~8 gold initial with 1.5 gold return. Which you probably have before you reach lvl 70 as well. Most others are around 25 gold. Cooking is a great first profession in my book. So I'm just looking for suggestions on what to do once I hit 80. I play as an Engineer and have really been enjoying it. I'm level 76 now and figure I'll hit 80 sometime tonight after work. Now I know Guild Wars is different then many MMO's and that the journey and exploration isn't close to being over as hitting 80 isn't really the "end game". So far I've just been following and trying to .
