Thanks. Its probably part of the seat cushion. I think it was around 1200 on my x3 when the sensor failed. Yeah probably shorted lucky you didn't burn a hole in your ass. Some are the entire leather bottom some are just the heat mat. All you gotta do it pull the seat and get down with some hog rings.
10 15. Nov 11, 2016. #21. Ok, this is what we have for E90 manual seats with heat. I'm assuming 8 and 9 are power, 1 is the signal from the hvac module or whatever in the dash that the e90 switch ribbon cable connects to, and 5 is some sort of unloader signal for ignition startup. The arrows are the pins that exist, and "P" are passenger seat only.
The difference with the X3 apparently is that the heating elements are bonded to the seat fabric/leather to some extent. Since the entire leather assembly must be replaced, this is what becomes costly. The heating elements independently are not a big deal, but the leather components are. I think it's $1600 US per seat in the front, not
I'm not 100% sure how to tell if I do or not. I have a 335i Parts car that I've never seen run and the mirror looks identical to that one but I can't be sure that the 335i has the auto dimming mirror. I was told since the 335i has the "sport" seats then it should have the auto dimming mirror.
Thought I’d share the plan for the e91 m3 build. Haven’t decided on diffuser or skirts yet but otherwise this should be pretty close. 153. 50. r/E90. Join. • 14 days ago. E91 M3 conversion under way! Will be documenting absolutely every part of the build. At least compared to my G01 and previous F25. 1) heated steering wheel no longer has an automatic option. Was nice to set that to engage automatically at a desired temp like the seats. 2) no longer has the ability to adjust bottom vs. back temperatures on the seats. I miss that feature. Pry up the electrical connector from the carpet with a trim tool. Disconnect the Connector for 5 Minutes. Disconnect the connector for 5 minutes to reset the module. Reinstall the Connector. Reverse steps 1-3 to reconnect the seat connector. Test the Seat Warmers. Restart the vehicle and see if the seat warmer is working.
the power for seat and memory have their own socket. same place between seats. (the additional wires for the heating is an extra socket in the seat connectors). If the battery voltage drops below 11.4 volts, the seat heating switch cuts the power supply to the heating pads but the LED's in the switch remain. illuminated. The seat heating switches restore power to the heating pads when the battery voltage raises above 12.2 volts for more than five seconds. Carbon Fiber Heating Pads.
You will obviously need a volt-ohm-meter if you don't have one. Fairly inexpensive. The problem could even be a seat heater switch, loose wire, or corroded connection; with electrical don't assume anything. 1996 Porsche Guards Red 993 C4S. 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S. 2003 BMW Ti Silver M5. 2020 X3M comp. Turn that to red and check the water temp gauge has a least moved. If you still have no heat there is a problem. Even here in Atlanta yesterday it took a while for real heat to blow.. must have been a good three miles until the temp gauge moved and only got to ~210F (normally 220F IIRC). I managed to source a set of comfort seats (ventilated, heated, with memory and lumbar) from a 2010 F10 535i. Installed the seats, injected CAFD and attempted to VO code options 453, 455, 456, 488. Coding was successful, however E-SYS appears to show a mismatch between HW and SW (blue/ red icon). sorry guy's the link has not worked! google: heated rear window problem on e9x If I can sort it I will change it. copy and pasted the whole thing! If problem moves with module, then get a new one. If problem stays then the issue is with the heating
I have a 335i 2007 E90 and the inside blower is not working, with a multimeter there is no voltage coming to the motor or resistor (tried all setting high) checked all fuses. still no voltage coming on the Motor/resistor . Climate control panel all green lights and it functions normal . That happened after changing water pump/thermostat. any ideas

Heated seats, purchased on a subscription basis, will cost British drivers £10 a month, the equivalent of about $12. There were numerous media reports this week about BMW launching the program in

I'd like to get heated seats as it does actually get cold in Austin, despite what people think My Google-fu, which isn't super strong, leads me to believe that these seats already have the heaters installed, but they're just not wired up and there's obviously no button on the control panel in the center console.

In the attached INPA screen, 0% of the air is being directed through the heater core on either side; Mixed Air Flap, Right & Mixed Air Flap, Left: BOTH = 0%. That is full cooling mode. YOU want to see (at 28C Thermostat setting on each side) 100% for BOTH those flaps, meaning ALL air is going through Heater Core.
