Alpina F31 B3. Dec 9, 2012. #4. Hi Colin, From an E46 you'll be lucky to get more than a genuine 260-270 using standard turbo, injectors and intercooler. A simple remap will see something in the region of 250bhp with ~360ft/lbs. certainly not M3 quick, but nice and beefy in the midrange. Great cars though, the 330d. I've had a few of them.

Rolf did however say that it is possible to use the garret turbo in place of the Mitsubishi. One could expect around 250hp with sw + dp and hybrid turbo (again from what I've read). I think the e46 also uses a garret turbo, there are hybrid turbos you can buy for them also the 330d. HybridTurbos Around R15 000.

I bought an 330d e46 [204 hp] with automatic transmission to swap the engine to my car. I took from the donor car the engine, the transmission, the differential, EWS, LCM, GM5, cluster board, etc.

i looked at technique tuning website and they claim that their turbo produces 315rwhp and 300rw ft-lbs. instead of wasting $6900 on it i would just sell my car and get an m3 which is way better if you compare it to a turbo charged 330. .
